Just blocks away from our church are hundreds of displaced men, women and children. These are real people who need tangible help. So what can we do? In this group we’ll talk about God’s heart for the poor, and then we’ll do things to help them. Only join this group if you want to make a difference in someone’s life.

1 Corinthians:
Christ’s Church at the Cultural Crossroads

7:00 p.m. Wednesdays in Malden
Duration: 12 weeks
Host/Leader: Calvin & Mary Ann Patten
Materials: Bible

Much like Boston or any modern city, the ancient city of Corinth was a melting pot of cultures. Multiculturalism presented the early church with issues similar to the ones we face today: How should we worship together? Should I worry about how others perceive the things I do? How do we know what is right and wrong, and react to sin in the church? What does it mean to love and worship God alongside other people? Can we find beauty and strength in bringing cultures together? The Apostle Paul shows us how a right understanding of God answers all these questions and more.

Facing Your Giants

7:00 p.m. Wednesdays in the NSAG
Conference Room

Duration: 12 weeks
Host/Leader: Sam & Grace Anand
Materials: Book required ($10.00)

When we face “giants” we tend to hide behind work, alcohol, relationships, and thrill seeking. But then the work runs out, the liquor wears off, or the lover leaves, and we hear Goliath howling...mocking. In this group we will study the life of King David—an unlikely hero consumed with an awesome God. We’ll learn what he discovered about God and giants, and find that our God, who made a miracle of David, can make a miracle out of us too.

Worship: His Love Endures Forever
7:00 p.m. Thursdays in the NSAG
Conference Room
Duration: 10 weeks
Host/Leader: Rachel Senat
Materials: Study Guide required ($7.00)

Why do we worship? Do we do it simply because it's part of a church service, or does it spring from a heart of genuine praise? The Bible gives us a clear picture of what worship is, and isn’t, about. It tells us that worship is a response to who God is and what He’s done. We’ll explore how to worship with our whole life, traveling to the heart of the matter: the character of the God who loves us.
