North Shore Assembly of God

A Multinational Church

The Purpose Driven Life
2:00 p.m. Sundays at Town Line Inn in Malden
Host/Leader: Jill Brown
“What is my purpose?” Self-help books suggest that people should look within, at their own desires and dreams to find the answer, but the starting place must be with God and his eternal purposes for each life. Real meaning and significance comes from understanding and fulfilling God’s purposes for putting us on earth. This group will help you understand God’s incredible plan for your life.

For Men: Courageous
6:00 p.m. Sundays in Peabody
Host/Leader: Bill Meady
Using the movie Courageous as a launching point, this group will explore four key areas of manhood:
  • Responsibility: serving, protecting, and casting a vision for your family
  • Priorities: focusing on the most important things
  • Legacy: realizing and valuing the impact you will have on your children
  • Faith: strengthening your identity as a father in Christ, increasing in wisdom
It takes courage to be the man God has called you to be. Join us if you want to build that courage.

…by heart. God's Word opens our eyes to see Him and know Him, and having His Word in our hearts will guide us in our moment to moment choices, protect us from the things that would hurt our hearts, and fill us with joy and life! Together we will take these powerful portions of God's Word into our hearts so that they can transform us into women of God. This group is for women who want a deeper relationship with God through His Word.

Patriarchs
7:00 p.m. Wednesdays at NSAG
Host/Leader: Sam & Grace Anand
Full of twists and turns, ruin and redemption, revelation and mystery, this study of Genesis 12–50  will keep you captivated by the God who stars in it! Throughout 10 weeks of exciting, engaging intrigue, we will plunge into the heart of Genesis, to God’s remarkable pursuit of relationship and to the unfolding of His plan: that through one nation—and ultimately, one man—all people on earth will be blessed. Many of the most profound and enduring concepts in God’s Word are initiated in this marvelous book of beginnings. Wrestling with Jesus
7:00 p.m. Wednesdays in Malden
Host/Leader: Gerry Gittens
If you want to really know Jesus, then you’ll have to wrestle with who He says He is and who He showed Himself to be. In the face of hunger He said He was the “bread of life.” In the face of death He said He was “the life.” Jesus said some bold things about Himself, but He always backed it up. Sometimes you have to wrestle to understand hard truths.

Getting to the Heart of God’s Story
7:00 p.m. Wednesdays at NSAG
Host/Leader: Sam & Rosemond Boadu
To understand the Bible you need bifocal lenses, because two perspectives are involved. The Lower Story, our story, is actually many stories of men and women interacting with God in the daily course of life. The Upper Story is God's story, the tale of his great, overarching purpose that fits all the individual stories together like panels in one unified mural. Open your eyes to God's master-plan as it unfolds in the lives of the Bible's characters. Discover the heart of God's Upper Story and the joy that comes as you align your story with God's.

Deepening Life Together: The Gospel of John
7:00 p.m. Fridays in Melrose
Host/Leader: Rudy Brown
Go deeper. In the Word. In your faith. In your life. John's account of Jesus's life and ministry differs in substance and style from the other Gospels. His unique perspective challenges us to reexamine our beliefs about the Lord. Why did Jesus perform miracles, and what did they mean? How might our traditions hinder a true understanding of who Jesus really is? How can we follow Christ's example of selfless love in our families, churches, and communities?

Reason for God
7:00 p.m. Fridays at NSAG
Host/Leader: Sam Aureli
Has anyone ever asked you why you’re a Christian? Or asked you to defend or explain Christian beliefs? It can feel awkward, and stressful, but it doesn’t have to. This group will show you how to have healthy and respectful conversations about religions, evil, hypocrisy, God’s judgment and other challenges to the Christian faith. More than just giving you answers, it will help you learn how to share them with love and respect.

For Men: Men at Work
9:00 a.m. Saturdays at NSAG
