Two, they provide a great opportunity to develop
friendships old and new. LifeGroups are the way we
care for each other and grow spiritually at North Shore.
Everyone should be In a LifeGroup!

To join a group all you need to do is complete the simple
"Sign Me Up" form and a LifeGroup leader will follow up
with you shortly to welcome you to the group.

First Place 4 Heath: Giving God Control
Many diet experts agree that developing self-control is a
key part of weight management. But better than selfcontrol
is God-control! Through this Bible study, First Place 4
Health members will learn how to let go of their frantic
need to control their circumstances, which often leads to
stress-induced, out-of-control eating. You’ll also take
positive steps toward letting God take over the
management of your mind, emotions, body and spirit.
As Christ moves into first place, life moves into balance.

Our Daily Bread: You Are What You Eat
This LifeGroup is full. Please choose another group.

We make our choices, and then our choices make us. The
food you choose to eat affects the way your body
functions. If you have pre-diabetes, diabetes, or just want
to learn more about nutrition, this group is a great first step
to understanding the incredible way God created our
bodies to work. We’ll learn simple and delicious recipes,
grocery shopping tips, and how to make smart choices at
restaurants. This is a hands-on group where we’ll actually
be cooking. Each participant will need to contribute
$15.00 to cover the cost of food.

Les Questions de la Vie
Quel est le sens de la vie? Qui est Jesus? Porquoi

Discipleship 301: You and the World
This is the third level in NSAG’s Basics of Discipleship Series. These groups are for new and old Christians alike.

So you’re a Christian, but you know Jesus saved you for
more than just keeping a seat warm at church. When God
adopts us into His family He expects us to join the “family
business.” But what is that? And how do you fit in?
Discipleship 301 will show you how to live out our Christian
Faith as a witness to the world around you. We’ll explore
the thread of God’s mission throughout history and equip
ourselves to naturally share God’s Truth with others.

Freedom Through God's Acceptance
(for Women)

We are sometimes our own worst enemies. We want to
grow, change, and live the life God has for us. And yet we
put ourselves down and focus on our failures instead of
looking at ourselves the way God looks at us. When we
look at ourselves we loose hope. But when we look to God
and realize that He has accepted us through Jesus we
find the key to living in the freedom Christ bought for us
with His blood. Come learn to live in true freedom!

Exploring the Great Hymns of the Faith
God's word tells us to “speak to one another with psalms,
hymns and spiritual songs” (Ephesians 5:19 NIV). God has
given us so many precious hymns through people like
Fanny Crosby, Horatio Spafford and many more. God
inspired them in the midst of their trials and pains, and He
inspires us through the beautiful words they’ve written. Come worship and grow closer to God as we
explore the great hymns of our faith.

Satisfy My Thirsty Soul (for Women)
As a Christian woman you yearn for intimacy with God.
You long to know His presence, to be satisfied in heart and
soul. You long to be obedient, and do what you know is
right. These longings can be met through worship. As we
learn what it means to bow our knee (the act of worship),
we’ll gain a renewed intimacy with God. And as we learn
to bow our thoughts, words, work, attitudes, will and even
pain (the lifestyle of worship), we’ll be drawn into God’s
holy and life-giving presence—the place where God will
truly satisfy our thirsty souls.

The Prodigal God
Most of the world has missed the point of this parable. It’s
not just about the lost son who leaves home, but also the
son who is lost without ever running away. The story might
better be called “Two Lost Sons.” We’ll examine the
prodigal son who spent until he had nothing left, the self
righteous elder son who hoarded for himself, and the
father who forgave with reckless abandon. And through it
all we’ll learn about our Father who lavishes love upon his
children and welcomes us back into his loving arms.

What's So Amazing about Grace
Grace is the freely given and unmerited favor and love of
God. And it is amazing! But grace has become a vague,
slippery thing to us because we experience grace so
rarely. Meanwhile, un-grace has taken over our world and
the wonderful power of real grace has been hidden.
Together we’ll explore stories of grace and un-grace to relearn and revive the power of God’s grace in our lives.
Come learn to live in God’s amazing grace!

Abraham:Hearing God's Call
It sounded crazy. God promised Abraham, an old man
with no children, that his descendants would be as
numerous as the stars. And Abraham chose to believe
God, embarking on a transforming, lifelong journey of faith
and obedience. God’s promises and plans for us may
sometimes seem crazy, and we often struggle to put our
faith into action. As we walk through this study of
Abraham's life we'll learn to listen to, obey and trust the
God who always keeps his promises.

Warrior Builders (for Men)
Nehemiah 4:18 records, “each of the builders wore a
sword at his side as he worked.” This group targets men,
who are have a desire to meet for prayer and devotion at
8 a.m. on Saturdays. During this time we will be learning
from King David (a great Warrior) and Nehemiah (a great
Builder). We will then strap on our tool belts and go to work
on the new sanctuary. This is not an open call to all
available volunteers but a “few good men” who are
willing to commit to being Warrior Builders.
