Greetings in the Name of Our Lord!

For 79 years God has faithfully provided our church with a place to gather and worship Him. He has led us through many challenges as we have set about the task of making His love known to the people of Boston’s North Shore. In 1986 God blessed us with a prominent place on Route One where we stand as a visible reminder of His love to the thousands who drive by on their way in and out of Boston every day.

Good stewardship of this land drives us to develop it to its fullest potential as a tool for reaching the lost. We have never had a sanctuary specifically designed and exclusively used for worship. Our present facility was designed to be a fellowship hall, and it has been stretched to its limits in accommodating the various activities it houses. So the next step of our development is the construction of a sanctuary—a place set apart for worshiping our Lord and proclaiming the Gospel. This will be the most challenging and costly part of our vision for this property. But now is the time.

There is no perfect time.

“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap,” (Ecclesiastes 11:4, NIV). The New Living Translation makes this verse even clearer: “If you wait for perfect conditions, you’ll never get anything done.” Many people have wasted their lives waiting for the elusive perfect time — it  never comes. Churches have stalled, failing to grow and serve their communities, because they waited for the perfect time to build and it never came.

There is no better time.

It takes courage to break the stranglehold of time, to face risk and danger for God. But there is no better time to increase our usefulness, enlarge our ministry capacity and expand our inadequate facilities. God has called on us to reach out to those who have not heard or responded to the Good News of Jesus Christ, to care for those whoa re hurting, and to make His love known to every person living and traveling on the North Shore of Boston—God put us here to do this, and this is what we will do.

God says, in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “’In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”

Now is the time to be and do all that God is calling us to. Love compels us to worship and serve Him.
Love compels us to answer His call. Love compels us to care for the broken and set the captives free.
And love compels us to prepare a place where God will do this work through us.

The time is now.
