Real People...Sharing Real Life

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Dear Friends,

Reaching the unreached is at the very heart of our Master's purpose for His church. His Word says that He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. To illustrate this point. Jesus told the Parable of the Good Shepherd. Though 99 sheep were safely in the fold, the Good Shepherd willingly took extra time and care to find one lost sheep and bring it to safety. The process was not easy or convenient, but the Shepherd was willing to pay the price.

The goal of our earliest missionary pioneers was to reach those who had the least access to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Spirit led them to the far-flung corners of the earth and helped them establish outposts. Eventually strong national churches were established that are now sending their own missionaries to other unreached people groups.

I am grateful to be a part of the Assemblies of God. We are privileged to have 2,700 missionaries serving in more than 200 countries and territories of the world. Together we are continuing our Lord's purpose for His people: to reach everyone with Jesus' message—wherever and however the Holy Spirit leads.

We believe it is important to share the good news about Jesus here at home and around the world. So each year we send out at least one team to serve overseas on short-term mission trips. Past trips have gone to Jamaica, Argentina, Los Angeles, Mexico, and even New Jersey!

Join a mission team and you will never be the same again.
